Virginia Beach Fishing Report, Virginia Beach Inshore Spanish Mackerel

09/08/08 - After things laid down from Hanna moving through, we had the Thrashers from Pensacola, FL aboard for a morning of inshore fishing. We started trolling towards Sandbridge, picking up some scattered spanish and blues along the way. The bite never got fire hot but we ended up catching some fish. We pushed back up to the north and tried to catch a shark at the dump site and the bite was slow. We did see a sharpnose free swimming at the back of the boat and pulled another off, but the action wasnt steady, so we went back to trolling. There was red tide everywhere and though the bite wasnt great, there were still fish around and we made it back in with a small catch.
