Tuesday, we had a group aboard and they wanted meat. We thought about going flounder fishing, but my gut told me we need to try to catch a cobia. So thats what we did and boy was that a good move. This morning the cobias were all over the schools of menhaden off sandbridge. We saw singles, doubles, triples, and schools of 30 or more fish. When all was said and done we had seen proabaly 60 or 70 cobias from 15 pounds to 80 or so pounds. We hooked 13. 4 cobias, including a really large one, pulled the hook or broke off. We caught 9 cobias. We brought 4 home. Best fishing for cobias yet this year. They are still here if you know where to find them. I know where they are. Give me a call and I will put you on em. |
