Virginia Beach Fishing Report, Great Virginia offshore fishing

Great Virginia offshore fishing

Despite the windy and partially rainy conditions, we made it offshore on Sunday. The forecat was for southwest winds 10-15 miles per hour. It might have made it to 15mph at some point in the day but we saw 20 or so most of the day. kind of bumpy. The fish didnt seem to mind though. We started up north looking for a bluefin and no love. Then we pushed offshore a bit and found great fishing for mahis and even caught a couple yellowfin tunas in 23 fathoms. They werent massive yellowfins but 30#ers are good enough for me. We also ended the day with 14 nice sized gaffer dolphins. Even though it was a bit rough, we managed to scrap out a box of meat and a good catch. Good to be back in Virginia. Still have plenty of inshore and offshore dates available through the tourist season in Rudee inlet. Call me at 7577496008 to book a date. Thanks, Capt. Jake
