Yesterday we had Bill Pino and a group from Maryland aboard to go bluefin fishing. We are currently fishing out of Odens Dock in Hatteras and the fishing has been very good. The only problem has been the weather. Spring time in Hatteras can get windy. Yesterday was no exception to that. Despite the forecast kicking up at the last minute, we decided to go. It was very choppy and cold. The fish cooperated though and we were able to find the bluefins. We killed this 64" bluefin tuna. We had bluefin bites both trolling and jigging. We also caught loads of false albacore, had some yellowfin bites, and even a wahoo bite. Water in the stream was nice and blue - 74 degrees with flying fish, whales, sargasso grass. It was pretty and the fishing, and the weather, aren't going do anything but get better over the next couple of months. Give us a call at 757-749-6008 and book a trip. Our current rate is $1400 on weekends and $1300 during the week. If you book now, I can lock that rate in before fuel prices - and charter rates - rise again. |
