Virginia Beach Fishing Report, Hatteras Mahi Bite Aboard Matador

05/15/10 - Today we had Lennie Miles, his son, and his brother in law aboard for the day. We started off trolling. The dolphin bite has picked up dramatically and we figured we would give it a shot. We started right off catching em. Spent the first half of the day making a decent catch of mahi. Some were nice gaffers, some were smaller, but either way there were plenty of bites. They wanted variety so we went in and bottom fished for a drop or two and caught a handful of tiles. Then we went jigging. They caught jacks and false albacore and rounded out the day with a 1.5 hour battle with a 8 foot bull shark.
