Hatteras Offshore Jigging Charter Fishing

On Good Friday, we had John Angelson's group for the day. We had fairly calm weather with light north winds and it was clear, sunny, and warm. No complaints about the weather. These guys really wanted to catch some tunas, so we spent a lot of the day trolling, but not much was going on there. The yellowfin fishing out of Hatteras was pretty slow. The weather conditions were nice and the gulf stream current was not too strong, but there was a full moon which sometimes throws tuna fishing off. Bluefins showed up way to the north in the afternoon, but by the time they made their showing, it was too late and we were too far away to get to them. We ended up going over to the reef and jigging. We caught a box full of fish over there and had some nice jacks, but no luck on the tunas for us.
