Virginia Beach Fishing Report, Inshore report great mackerel fishing

On sunday we had a group from Harrisonburg on board for a half day. These were young boys that all played on the same baseball team. These kids were really into fishing and they were pretty good at it. We started off catching mackerel. The spanish mackerel fishing just outside Rudee inlet was excellent. We caught all that we cared to catch very quickly. These were big mackerels too. Great fishing for those. Then we pulled off the beach some and looked for sharks. The sharks werent on fire by any means but we did catch a very nice blacktip about 40# and had several others at the back of the boat.

On a side note the offshore fishing went off today. Fantastic catches with yellowfins, mahi, bluefins, marlins-EVERYTHING was chewing. I currently am unbooked thursday and sunday of this week. Call me and get out there. The fishing is as good as it gets now and I really dont want to be tied to the dock.
