Virginia Beach Fishing Report, Matador Inshore Fishing Virginia Beach

07/21 - Today we had Mark from Chicago fishing with us. Him and his family fished with us about the same time last year. We started off fishing for mackerel and bluefish off the beach. The inshore trolling was a bit off, but we still managed a good catch of bluefish with some spanish mackerel mixed in. In the second half of the trip, we went out a little off the beach to catch a sharks. The shark fishing has been good and consistent. The sharks have mostly been two foot to four foot blacktips. We caught several of the blacktips with an atlantic sharpnose or two thrown in the mix. We also caught a four foot long hammerhead shark on light tackle, which was a very neat fish that put up a strong fight.
