Virginia Beach Fishing Report, Mated Ocean Pearl Big Stripers

05/07/09 - I fished with Capt. Steve Wray on the Ocean Pearl. He had a half day charter and I worked as his mate for the day. We went to the Bridge-tunnel with the intent to catch stripers on live bait. We found them and they would eat the live bait, but they really wanted to eat the topwater plugs. Over the half day we caught about 40 stripers from 28'' to 42'' on topwater plugs and light action rods. The bite was nonstop and it was really great fishing.
