Virginia Beach Fishing Report, Virginia Beach Inshore Charter Fishing

07/24 - Today we had Stacey Cantrell and family in from Nashville for a three quarter day of inshore fishing. They wanted to catch some mackerels and blues for the table and then pull out and do a little shark fishing. We started off catching some bluefish. The mackerel fishing was way off. We have been having a big swell lately and it has kept the water a little dirty. Mackerels like clean, clear water. We did catch a handful of mackerels, but the conditions just werent right. The conditions were right for sharks though. We pulled up and immediately started catching blacktips. We caught a hammerhead as well. Then at the end of the trip we caught a large 50 pound class blacktip which the Cantrells brought home for the grill.
