Bluefin on jig yellowfin limit wahoo EPIC DAY

On sunday we had Rudy Lavassuer, Jason Legg and friends aboard to go and hopefully get on some of this insane tuna fishing we have seen for the last couple weeks. We set out in pretty strong northeast winds on the 400 line and began working north along the 100 fathom curve in 72 degree water. Very soon after we began getting bites. The yellowfin were all over us and it didnt take long to get a big box full of nice 30-40# yellowfins as we worked our way up the line. Around the 510 line, we got hit by the wahoos. We had two bites, but one bit us off as we fought the other one and caught a 25# wahoo. Soon after, we caught a nice pair of yellowfins at the 530 line that finished off our limit. The yellowfins were eating everything. Sea witches any color and ballyhoo were the trick. They are really liking the sound of my boat this year so far and a lot of my bites are coming just 20 or 30 feet behind the boat. After catching the yellowfins, we had worked our way up to the north far enough to be into the bluefins. We found a nice mark and as soon as we circled over it and stopped, we dropped three jigs. Jason came tight on his first drop and it stayed glued. After a nice fight and several long strong runs, we had a nice 70" 200# class bluefin on the deck and we were headed home early. OVER 700# OF TUNA TO BE CLEANED AT THE DOCK. Incredible fishing.
