EVEN EASIER YELLOWFINS

On Thursday, we had Dave Trax and friends from Virginia Beach aboard for the day. From the report yesterday of such great fishing we were all excited and ready to get out there. The forecast thursday was not as nice as wednesday though and we knew later in the day it was going to start getting rough . The plan was to get what we could as early as possible and see what we could do from there once it got rough. We ran right back to the low 400's in 100fa and set out in 70 degree water with a full ballyhoo spread and greenstick. There wasa small fleet in the area and there were yellowfins busting under birds. We immediately went to work on these things and made short work out of the yellowfins. We were catching them 4, 5, 6, 7 at a time on everything. The ballyhoos and greenstick were both getting wore out as fast as we could rerig. When the some cleared it was 9:45 in the morning and we had our limit of 18 yellowfins in the box. We tried to decide what we were going to do. We knew they were catching some bluefins to the north but with a southeast wind forecasted to pick up, we didnt want to make a long tough run home for ourselves. So we opted to pick up and jog towards the rocks where we would finish out the day jigging. As we made our way, the southeast winds kicked up and it got really rough. Some other boats in the fleet decided to bag it and head home so we did the same. It aint every day when you can get back home to the dock before 1pm with a limit of yellowfins. These last two days have been some of the best yellowfin fishing I have seen in a very long time. I still have a lot of days left unbooked and will go whenever the weather allows. The boat is $1350 per day. Give me a call and get your days booked.
