Inshore fishing report. Still PLENTY to catch

As september has come and gone we have seen our inshore fishing begin to change. Fall fishing in virginia beach is always great because of the mixture of fish we see here. We have summer species beginning to leave and we have winter species beginning to arrive. On the inshore scene we have seen our cobias and sharks begin to leave, but their absence has given us an increase in numbers of red drum and king mackerel. In the bay we can also catch plenty of spot, croaker, and flounder bottom fishing. Around the bridge tunnel, we have drum, bluefish, and we are expecting the first stripers to begin showing up at any time. This time of year can be very fun fishing for bluefish and stripers with ultralight gear casting poppers to the islands. On the inshore wrecks we also have a mixed bag of flounder, sea bass, and triggerfish available to bottom fishermen. Overall the fishing inshore is still great and we have plenty of dates ready to be booked. Give us a call today at 7577496008 and we will get you set up. Thanks, Capt. Jake Hiles
