Fishing Reports > Mated Aboard Fin Seeker Rockfishing

01/12 - After having to cancel Manny Silva from New Jersey on sunday and monday on account of the weather it was Kevin Smiths turn on tuesday. I got down to the boat to fire the motors up and the batteries were dead. Battery charger bit the dust. I made some quick phone calls and lined them up on the Fin Seeker where I would be working as a mate. The conditions were less than beautiful. It was very cold with a strong northeast wind. The fishing was a slow pick to start the day off. We would catch a couple at a spot and the fishing would slow then we would move to another spot and catch a couple before it slowed. We repeated this process a couple times and then we found the motherlode. The fish werent huge but we got into them off the state line and caught a bunch, released a bunch, and sent these guys off happy on a day when I couldnt get them out on my boat. Thanks again to the guys over there at Fin Seeker for making this one happen.
