Yellowfins mahi white marlins FISH EVERYWHERE

Fishing inshore wednesday with an easy limit of mackerel caught just outside rudee, we went offshore friday. We had a crew of four aboard and the plan was to start inside on the fingers and go deep. On the fingers we immediately caught a yellowfin. Then we caught a mahi and had a big bluefin blow up on the teaser, but no bite from that fish on a hook bait. No love from the bluefins for us. After a short while of few bites, we moved offshore towards the canyon. Immediately we were rewarded with tunas. Altogether through the day the yellowfin fishing was excellent. We caught 15 or so out of 20 some bites. after our first wham of yellowfins, I looked back and saw a white marlin getting into the short shotgun. Robert does a quick dropback and hooked up solid and deep in the throat with the j hook on a tld 25. The fish bit and went straight down. While we were hooked up on that marlin, tunas slammed us on the dangler baits. We had three bites of 50# class yellowfins while reversing on a marlin. Two immediately pulled off the hook, but one stayed tight and we fought a yellowfin at the same time as a marlin and managed to catch both. The marlin ended up dead. We brought it back and it was a huge white. 72'' long 33'' girth 80#. Big white marlin. After that we had several more whacks from the tunas and some mahi. All and all a great day of fishing. The tunas were EVERYWHERE in 100 plus fathoms and bit everything we had out. Easy fishing and lots of fish around.
